Everywhere you turn, I mean, its even on TV, celebrities are everywhere. I know personally, I am no one but when I was younger, heck, ten years ago, I wanted to be an actor of some kind. I am glad I grew out of it because now I see that there is more to life. I am 27 years old now and cannot believe how much America is obsessed with celebrity news. Even the news channels have gotten bad about it. CNN, FOX NEWS, they're all the same now. All they ever talk about are the celebrities, who's breaking up, who got married, who's adopting, who's going to jail or rehab. The sad part of it all is that America is eating it up. I remember working at one job and having my co workers come up to me and ask me if I heard about so and so cheating on so and so. Who cares? I have more important things to concern myself with. People cheat and break up with one another everday and I'm supposed to stop because someone who's always on TV is going through what everyone ultimately experiences at some point in their life.
As if TV wasn't bad enough the internet isn't any better. Everytime I log onto ATT.net, I see headlines about celebrities doing this and that and going to court over this and that, who cares? When I see headlines such as, Iowa lake dries up, or convicted killer set free over technicality, that is newsworthy. Lifestyles of the rich and famous or not rich and famous is just pathetic and of no interest to me.
